“From a Project Idea to a Project Proposal” is the first, introductory info session within Stage 2 of the training programme “Steps for Specialists. Mobility”.
This programme offers participating municipalities a unique opportunity to learn how to correctly prepare quality project proposals in the field of mobility using the European approach. Yana Samoilenko, Adviser on Public Infrastructure Development at U-LEAD with Europe, told us about this.
“As part of the programme, we will involve both international and national experts on mobility, as well as narrow specialists such as engineers who will help to properly work out the municipalities’ ideas, calculate the risks and the budget of the project proposal. We will end up with complete project applications, and most importantly, the municipalities will go through the full process and acquire the much-needed skills.”
According to Victoriia Prokopenko, Mobility Development Expert at U-LEAD, during Stage 2, participating municipalities will also learn how to prepare project presentations to financial institutions and will receive expert support in attracting funding.
Furthermore, they will have a chance to establish a partnership with an EU municipality in the project-related field. Certain selected war-affected municipalities may receive funding for the development of technical documentation.
The training will consist of two seminars and three practical sessions and will last until May 2023. It will be attended by project teams of participating municipalities, formed from representatives of structural subdivisions of local self-government, specialised utility institutions and companies, as well as NGOs.
Earlier, the U-LEAD Program prepared a manual for municipalities, Sustainable Mobility in Municipalities: Recommendations for Recovery. Check out the manual here: http://bit.ly/3mVW2fP
