This year, it is aimed at professionals at municipal companies, institutions and organisations, as well as social services, culture, education, youth and sports professionals of local councils. The choice of this target audience is far from random. Bastian Veigel, Head of the Programme, spoke about it at the first seminar.
“Factors related to the military aggression motivate officials of both local councils and municipal companies, institutions, organisations and enterprises that were among the first to join the work with IDPs, mitigation of the consequences of destruction, to attract external resources to solve new problems. This requires new skills in project development and implementation. Project activity is the future, which is evidenced by the significant number of project tenders open to Ukrainian beneficiaries as well as Ukraine becoming a candidate country for membership in the European Union, which marks a new stage in our development,” said Bastian Veigel.
“Steps for Project Managers” consists of 2 seminars and 5 workshops, which will take place in September and October. As part of the events, the participants will master the tools to prepare, develop and implement external financing projects. At the end of the course, its participants will receive certificates from the U-LEAD with Europe Programme as well as, most importantly, the necessary knowledge of the basics of project management.
