Purpose of the competition. Contributing to the solution of social problems of municipalities by supporting local initiatives during the war in Ukraine.
Project topics. From educational, healthcare, infrastructural projects to initiatives related to the rehabilitation of veterans and support for the development of Ukrainian cultural identity.
Who can participate? Local self-government bodies, municipal and educational institutions, health care facilities, NGOs.
Geography of the competition: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy and Chernihiv oblasts.
Grant amount: up to UAH 100,000

Competition for co-financing for the provision of services to agricultural MSMEs
Purpose of the competition. Providing agricultural micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with timely and high-quality services that will support their competitiveness and production sustainability, increase the added value and promote the introduction of new technologies.
Services may include: tillage, seed preparation for planting, mobile seed plant, crop care and harvesting, logistics and forwarding services, as well as a number of other services.
Who can participate? Ukrainian non-state economic entities (except for individual entrepreneurs) that have experience in providing services for MSMEs, have relevant qualifications, as well as developed and formalised procedures for providing such services.
Grant amount: 8 projects (from UAH 10.8 million to UAH 18 million per project).

Strengthening the leadership capacity of CSOs in processes of recovery and development of de-occupied territories
Priorities of the competition:

Support for municipalities and territories in the processes of recovery of services for residents of municipalities (administrative, social services, etc.);

Strengthening of security in the liberated territories;

Support or deployment of formal and informal education systems;
-
Creation of favourable conditions for local businesses, including social businesses;

Support of public movements, volunteer initiatives, NGOs and charities;

Monitoring the situation in the de-occupied territories;

Access to verified information on the de-occupied territories;

Building cooperation between local authorities, business community and CSOs for the prompt recovery of the territory;

Settlement of conflicts in de-occupied territories and municipalities.
Who can participate? Civil society organisations.
Target territories. Municipalities or territories that are included in the list of territories where hostilities are (were) taking place or temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation.
Grant amount: up to UAH 5 million.

Farming Recovery Assistance Programme by the global humanitarian aid organisation Mercy Corps
Purpose of the competition. Help small farmers to re-establish, expand or launch new homesteads or farms.
Who can participate? Small farmers and households with the status of internally displaced persons, as well as local small farmers whose activities were significantly affected by the war, in Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts.
Grant amount: the average amount of financial assistance is USD 1,500 in UAH equivalent.
Application deadline: there is no deadline; the Programme will end when the required number of participants is reached.

Competition of project applications to support defence reforms in Ukraine
Priorities of the competition:

Institutional resilience and proper administration in the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the General Staff and affiliated organisations;

Transparency, accountability, combating corruption;

Reputation- and person-oriented security.
Who can participate? Potential actors are invited to team up and, if possible, submit their project proposals in consortium of several organisations (actors). These can be both international and local non-profits or multilateral organisations working in the Ukrainian context.
Grant amount: £ 1,400,000 to £ 1 650 000

Grants for projects for integration through cultural activities
Priorities of the competition. The grant programme will contribute to the integration of people into new communities through culture and support their mental health. Additionally, projects should offer activities for families and children. The proposed activities can include workshops, joint creativity processes, educational projects, art therapy, etc.
Who can participate?

Non-profits or independent initiatives based in Ukraine or the countries-participants of Creative Europe;
-
Organisations and initiatives actively engaged in the integration of people, in particular families and children who were forced to move to safer regions of Ukraine or countries-participants of Creative Europe, into new communities through culture.
Project implementation period: until 30 October 2023.
Grant amount: EUR 2000 to EUR 5000

Grant competition “Urgent Relief to People Affected by War”
Priorities of the competition:

Providing urgent relief to civilians in municipalities that are close to the active hostilities, as well as in de-occupied and occupied municipalities;
-
Initiatives aimed at supporting internally displaced persons;
-
Support for female leadership during the war.
Project activities should include an advocacy campaign, as well as extensive public outreach regarding the progress of project implementation and its results (distribution of project materials, messages in media, including social media, etc.).
Who can participate? Non-profit CSOs that have:
- Non-profit status and official registration in Ukraine for at least 6 months as of the date of submission of the grant application;
- Availability of any of the information channels (page on Facebook, Telegram, Twitter, Viber, Instagram, website, etc.).
Project implementation period: 3-4 months
Grant amount: UAH 220,000 to UAH 250,000

Visegrad+ grants
Areas of support: cultural cooperation; education; tourism; scientific and youth exchanges; cross-border cooperation.
Who can participate? A consortium of organisations, including 3 or more organisations from different countries of the Visegrad Group. The consortium may include:

Grants for women’s and family SMEs
Priorities of the competition:

Supporting the economic capacity of women’s and family small and medium enterprises;

Expansion of integration into the job market and entrepreneurship of women.
Who can participate? Small and medium-sized family and women’s enterprises that produce goods and provide services.

IOM grant competition for war-affected micro and small enterprises
Who can participate?
-
Small and micro-enterprises relocating or operating in the city of Kyiv or the Kyiv, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Sumy, Chernihiv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk or Kharkiv oblasts;
-
Registered for at least a year before the application submission date;
-
Registered in Ukraine and owned by citizens of Ukraine.
Enterprises from the following sectors are NOT ELIGIBLE:

Production or trade in weapons and munitions;
-
Production or trade in alcoholic beverages;
-
Production or trade in tobacco products;
-
Production or trade in radioactive materials;
-
Production, trade or use of friable asbestos fibres;
-
Production or trade in pharmaceuticals;
-
Production or trade of pesticides/herbicides subject to international phase-outs or bans;
-
Healthcare facilities and pharmacies.
What can grant funds be spent on?

Purchase of specialised equipment, tools necessary for production/processing, and other activities of the company;

Lease of premises (up to 4 months);

Repairs and furnishing of premises (including purchase of furniture, racks, etc.);

Salary (up to 4 months) and expenses for creating additional jobs;
-
Purchase of raw materials for the production process (up to 50% of the grant amount);
-
Transportation of equipment/personnel;
-
Other relevant activities.
Project implementation period: up to 4 months.
Grant amount: for micro-enterprises, the maximum amount of the grant is EUR 4,500 in UAH equivalent; for small enterprises, the maximum amount of the grant is EUR 20,000 in UAH equivalent.
Application deadline: 30 October 2023. Grants are awarded until funds are exhausted. If they are exhausted by October 2023, the competition will be closed.
