The Programme’s working group helped municipal professionals to collect, analyse and set out key information about investment properties and their advantages.
“We have provided a template of an investment passport. And with our expert support, each municipality identified and took stock of attractive resources. The developed materials were presented to the business community and the public. Next, the municipalities moved on to promoting their investment advantages,” said Heorhii Fedoruk, Adviser on Local Finance and Management of the Regional Office of U-LEAD with Europe in the Zhytomyr region.
A U-LEAD expert worked with each municipality. This is an all-Ukrainian initiative that started in August, and so far, the team has held an info session, 9 workshops, 57 public presentations, 181 individual and 25 group meetings for municipal professionals.
“The investment passport is the result of the efforts of municipal professionals and our team. The experience gained by the municipalities is also an important achievement. From the collection of information to the promotion of properties on the list. In wartime, this expertise is essential,” Vasyl Nevmerzhytskyi, Head of the Regional Office of U-LEAD with Europe in the Zhytomyr region, said at the info session on municipal capacity-building.
These sessions help municipal teams to find potential investors, because this document is a tool for realising potential, and professionals need to be able to use it.
