The U-LEAD with Europe Programme announces the start of the competitive selection for participation in the training programme "Steps for Project Management Specialists - 2023".
As a result of the training programme, you will be able to:
- Identify the problem, formulate the aim, objectives, and results, plan activities and project budget;
- Combine soft and hard components of projects;
- Present your project idea to potential donors.
What is it?
The training programme "Steps for Project Management Specialists" is an opportunity for those who want to improve their knowledge and skills in project management, get acquainted with the latest approaches and methodology for developing project proposals, and analyze key mistakes that arise in the process of project preparation and implementation. As part of the training programme, you will be able to develop your project idea into a full-fledged project proposal with the support of experts.
When?
The support programme will run from September to November 2023.
Who can participate in the programme?
Municipality project teams consisting of 3 people can participate in the programme:
- a local government official responsible for project management in the municipality (mandatory);
- a representative of a municipal institution;
- a representative of a non-governmental organization.
Representatives of municipalities that have previously participated in the "Steps for Project Management Specialists" from the U-LEAD with Europe Programme can also become participants in this programme.
How to participate?
The selection of project teams participating in the “Steps” will be based on the submitted project ideas that are relevant to your municipality. We are looking for innovative project ideas aimed at overcoming consequences of the war and creating conditions for increasing municipality resilience in the following thematic lots:
Lot 1: strengthening the role of municipal institutions in the processes of municipality recovery and development;
Lot 2: creation of new services and facilities in the municipality based on the restored/created "hard" infrastructure;
Lot 3: rethinking and assigning new purposes and functions to the existing (old) municipality infrastructure.
One municipality can submit from 1 to 3 project ideas for selection, but a project team with 1 project idea will be selected. A separate application form should be submitted for each project idea.
The project idea form for participation in the selection must be submitted by 18:00. August 25, 2023, to the email address: regops.u-lead@giz.de, indicating "Project Management Steps / Municipality name and oblast" in the subject line. The project idea form for participation in the selection should be attached.
