For the opportunity to study with U-LEAD experts, the municipalities participated in the competitive selection, in total, 47 municipalities from most regions of the country will participate in the training. This was reported by Serhiy Slynko, the head of the regional office of U-LEAD with Europe in Cherkasy oblast. His team administers two groups of training participants.
"Local self-government, as the basis of the state, faced a large number of challenges during the war: from occupation and the consequences of shelling to the placement and integration of IDPs in their territories. Under the conditions of martial law and limited budgetary funding, municipalities need alternative ways of solving local issues. And here we are talking about opportunities for municipalities to receive support from international partners in the form of a significant number of grant competitions", - notes the head of the regional office.
According to Slynko, after the starting seminar dedicated to the topic "Project management: new opportunities for municipal institutions", the first training for acquiring practical skills took place - it was titled "Preparation: analysis of the problem, formation of goals, results, indicators of achievement, target groups":
"The first training will help future project management specialists to learn how to analyze the pre-project situation, understand the problems of the future project and the creation of the project architecture according to the logical-structural principle."
In general, the training includes two seminars and five specialized trainings, in addition to the topics specified in the training program regarding the activities of the project, partners and project team, project budget, the topic of the grant agreement and administrative procedures, as well as the topic of reporting and monitoring.
The twelve winning municipalities from Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions will work with project cycle management experts Olena Gladka and Oleg Kulinich, Petro Gotsalyuk and Oleksandra Fadeyeva during the training program.
